Seoul, South Korea. Welcome to follow what happens behind the scenes during my tours. I will be blogging about my two favorite aspects of life: music and gastronomy. During March 10-19, I had the pleasure to perform Gustav Mahler's 7th Symphony as a guest principal trumpet of the Seoul-Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted, by Maestro Eliahu Inbal and meet some great old and new friends. This was my third visit in South-Korea.
Seoul, South Korea. My love for Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea and their wonderful people, culture, civilization and – last but not least – food, made it hard if not impossible to refuse the offer to go to South Korea.
Here's the second part of my travel journal from South Korea. This one is for the fellow food enthusiasts!
On April 9, 2016, I will be the guest soloist for a Brass Band in Switzerland, the Ensemble de Cuivres “Ambitus”, for their anniversary celebration concert. On this occasion, I was asked by François Roh, their conductor and himself a virtuoso cornet player, to select a piece from a large list of options. Almost completely new to the Brass Band repertoire, I chose a classic – Philip Sparke's Concerto for Cornet.
